- In Wallacedene we provided meals four times per week (176 times
during the
- year) to about 150 children and in Bloekombos also four times per
week to
- about 300 children at a time. The soup kitchen provided 92400 meals during the past year. Since it was established in May
1995, more than 854050 meals have been provided to children from the soup

- For about 3,500 children Christmas is certainly the highlight of the

- Back To School

- With this project children in Wallacedene taken off the street and
enrolled in
- school. For only R800 per year, school fees can be paid and the
necessary
- stationary and uniforms can be purchased.

- Day Care Center

- The day care centre does very good work and about 30-40 children
attend regularly. The children play in a safe environment and also eat a
good meal 3 times a day.

- Community in Action

- Community in Action (CIA) is a faith based, non profit organization
seeking to uplift and alleviate the plight of hunger amongst the
children of South Africa – "Children at risk" - and the future of
our country.
We aim to provide, high quality meals to organizations, projects and
NGO's dealing with children at risk. In this, we network with various
organizations doing invaluable work with children – Shiloh, Grace
Fellowship Africa, Cape Town Street Children, Feedback, Lofdal and
others.
